This 17th former coaching inn is located in the quaint and quiet little village of Barbon in the Lune Valley.

Found deep in the countryside between the Yorkshire Dales and The English Lake District (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), the hotel is the perfect base for a quiet getaway in beautiful scenic countryside.

Whether you want to get away for a break from city life and working, do a spot of fishing in the salmon rich waters of the river Lune or for adventure holidays involving walking treks on the many paths and bridleways, watersports in and around the various nearby lakes or mountain biking, the Barbon Inn hotel with its warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere can accomodate the needs of guests perfectly.

All ten of the bedrooms are individually furnished for comfort, are en-suite with colour TVs and Tea/Coffee making facilities.

Come morning guests can wake from a great nights sleep in the pleasent surroundings of their room fully refreshed to a fantastic full english breakfast with tea and coffee ready for the day ahead.

The Hotel's restaurant is in a smart, candle lit room and boasts an a'la carte menu, table d'hote menu and for guests not wishing to dine in the restaurant meals can be ordered from the bar menu and taken in the bar or the beer garden.

The hotel also has a vegetarian menu.

The menus consist of dishes, most being made from fresh local ingredients which are skillfully and stylishly prepared and served in a pleasant atmosphere which is enhanced and complimented by the elegant candlelit surroundings.

The hotel's bar has a wide selection of traditional and regional guest beers on offer as well as the usual favourites and also has a vast selection of spirits available.

Guests can choose to enjoy their beverage in the secluded beer garden before going to the restaurant to eat or ordering from the bar menu which is only available in the bar area.

Either way, a beer or meal is perfect in the relaxing surroundings.

The hotel's location between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks makes it the perfect base from which guests can go out and explore some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK.

Both national parks have caves, waterfalls, walking trails, lakes, stately homes and museums to explore.

The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway line is close by which has steam trains running often.

Also nearby in Ingleton is White Scar Cave, Britain's longest show cave located inside Ingleborough hill, and Ingleborough Cave in Ingleborough which is close to Clapham, a town which it's self is a place to visit as it encapsulates some the best of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

In the Lake District, Lake Windermere is only 30 mins drive from the hotel and guests can go and visit the quaint little towns of Windermere, Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside which is home to the Beatrix Potter Museum.

The historic town of Lancaster is also a short drive away as is Morecambe Bay and Blackpool.
