Ivy Bank is a pretty Victorian house built in the 1890s from local slate and retains many of its original features.Within thirty minutes walk from Ivy Bank there are several excellent viewpoints, the lakeshore and tumbling waterfalls.We are situated on a quiet road away from main thoroughfares within a few minutes walk of the all the village facilities

All our bedrooms are en-suite and are provided with a colour TV, radioalarm clock, hairdryer, a selection of toiletries and hospitality tray. In addition, 2 of our larger rooms have a sofa and DVD player.We have off road parking and safe storage for bikes

Guests staying at Ivy Bank can use our membership of a local leisure club. This includes free use of most of the facilities, such as - swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa-bath, gym, badminton and snooker.We provide an informal and relaxing atmosphere, comfortably furnished and attractively decorated rooms and an excellent choice for breakfast

Directions:
FROM THE SOUTHTravelling north on the M6 leave the motorway at junction 36 turn left and follow the A591 to Windermere - this takes about 25 minutes.When you reach the village turn left in front of the National Westminster Bank. Follow the one-way system downhill along Crescent Road past the Co-op Welcome supermarket and then take the first turning left into Broad Street. Go to the end of Broad Street and turn right into Woodland Road. Then take the first right into Holly Road. Ivy Bank is the 4th house on the left. FROM THE NORTH Travelling South on the M6 the most interesting route is to leave the motorway at junction 40 near Penrith and take the A66 towards Keswick.At the next roundabout follow the signs for the A592 which you stay on for about 40 minutes. (If you see the sign for Aira Force on the right and you have time there is a beautiful walk up to the waterfall).After going over the Kirkstone Pass and coming down the Troutbeck Valley you reach the A591 at a small roundabout. Turn left here. After about half a mile take a right turn in front of the 'Rockside' Guest House this takes you into Windermere village centre. You come onto the one-way system and once you have passed the Co-op Welcome supermarket take the first left turn into Broad Street.Go to the end of Broad Street and turn right into Woodland Road.Then take the first right into Holly Road. Ivy bank is the 4th house on the left.
