Set in the rolling North Devon landscape, our 17th century farmhouse, commands breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Waytown is a haven for wildlife such as rabbits, pheasants and the magnificent buzzard hawk. Enjoy good farmhouse meals using local produce in our beamed dining room and guest lounge with inglenook fireplace.
Hazel and Reg Kingdon welcome you to stay at Waytown, a family run Beef and Sheep farm which has been in the Kingdon family for over 60 years, Reg being the third generation to farm here. The house is approached by a short drive off the A39 and is set in it's own grounds, having ample parking space. There is a large lawn for everybody to sit in, soaking up the lovely North Devon sunshine.
Situated approximately 3 miles from the Ancient Market Town of Barnstaple, we are easily found just before Shirwell village, on the Lynton road.
Guest are welcome to walk around the farm with it's many fine views and see all the wonderful wildlife, such as Rabbits, Foxes and Badgers, Buzzard Hawks and many other birds and animals.
See the baby lambs skipping in the spring, the sheep shearing in early summer and watch the hay and corn harvest in summer and early autumn.
After an enjoyable day, come home to Waytown and relax in comfortable surroundings. The lounge with Inglenook Fireplace will warm you on a cold evening, with colour TV available. There is also a beamed dining room with separate tables
