A visit to Higher Bodley Farm is a must if you are looking for a break on a genuine working hill farm, with just that little bit extra which includes luxury accommodation , personal attention and fabulous food.

Higher Bodley is a working hill farm, with a flock of approx 1500 sheep, a large herd of Limousin x Charolais breedding cows. Also a herd of about 50 Highland Cows, calves and McDougall the bull. These mainly live on the moorland area of the farm

An organised farm tour to see these magnificent animals in their natural habitat, is amust to make your visit truly memorable & unique. We are situated in the foothills of Coastal Exmoor, just a breath away from the beautiful Heddon Valley and close by Lynton, Lynmouth and the scenic Valley of the Rocks, with the beautiful Doone Valley also within easy reach across the Brendon Hills. With the added proximity of the beautiful beaches of North Devon, Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde approximately 25 minutes away, makes Higher Bodley an ideal location for that special time away

Dogs, muddy boots and wet clothes welcome. Higher Bodley is close to the local bus routes from Barnstaple and for those who wish to leave the car at home, and we are happy to collect from local bus stops. If you require further information on local transport please give us a call

Packed lunches and flask to-ups are readily available for longer walks and rides. A transfer service can be provided. We can also provide an evening meal if requested

Apart from these we welcome dogs. Muddy boots and wet clothes. Nothing is too much trouble to make your stay at Higher Bodley as enjoyable and memorable as possible

Breakfast is in a relaxed atmosphere in our traditional farmhouse breakfast room. With the heat from the solid fuel rayburn under the ancient beams. Breakfast is served on a large communal table, where you can meet other guests and swap holiday ideas with each other. ( A seperate table can be provided if requested,) A delicious home cooked locally sourced 3 course evening meal can be provided, but prior arrangement is required.
