Accommodation
Description:
The Moorland Hotel is situated in an unrivalled location on the southern slopes of Dartmoor National Park, 700ft above sea-level, facing South, commanding uninterupted views across the moors and to the sea beyond. It is the ideal centre for touring this beautiful and very interesting part of South Devon, including the beaches of the South Hams, the fascinating areas of Dartmoor with its quaint villages and of course the ponies, or the coastal city of Plymouth with all its maritime history.
There is also a wealth of National Trust Properties in close proximity and the Eden Project in Cornwall is a pleasant hours drive away.Well located for our corporate guests too.
Far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but only 20 minutes from the centre of Plymouth.
Even closer if you are visiting Langage Industrial Estate or Tamar Science Park.
Almost seconds away from the China Clay works in Lee Moor.Rising from the ashes is our new Phoenix Steakhouse serving mouth-watering local Devon steaks cooked on our char grill.
Our superb kitchen works its magic with fresh ingredients to create dishes to remember.
The restaurant is also open to non-residents, so we recommend you reserve a table to avoid disappointment.
Hospitality and comfort is the keynote of this Establishment and is personally supervised to by its Resident Proprietress.

Directions
How to find us If travelling down the A38 Exeter to Plymouth Expressway: If travelling down the A38 Exeter to Plymouth Expressway, take the Lee Mill exit (not far after Ivybridge). Turn Right at the first T junction and after the underpass, turn right again at the second. Then take the first left and follow the road through Cornwood and then on to Wotter. It?s about 6 miles along this main road (ignore turnoff to Wotter) before you come to the hotel on your left. Watch out for sheep on road! If coming from Cornwall: Go over Tamar Bridge, along the A38. When you come to the flyover and roundabout at Marsh Mills take the slip road exit marked Plympton- and carry on towards Plympton. Pass through several traffic lights and at the first mini-roundabout, take the left hand fork. At the next roundabout, turn left over a stone bridge and continue along this road for about half a mile, past a convenience store on the right. Take the next right hand turn down a road called "Crossways" (brown-signed to Borringdon Hall). At the end of this road, turn left. You are now on the main road to Dartmoor. Keep going? ignore all the side roads and after a couple of miles you will go over a cattle grid. At the cross roads, turn right (signposted to Wotter and the Moorland Hotel). After 800 yards or so, The Moorland Hotel is on your right.
