Northwood Cottages is a 4 star rated luxury Guest Accommodation (B&B and self-catering) with Silver Award from Visit Britain and an associate member of AA. One Self-catering cottage is 4 star rated. We are situated on the outskirts of the peaceful rural village of Manston near Shaftesbury in North Dorset, and we have plenty of free off road parking

We are ideally located for business (early breakfasts, CC payments, fast check outs, nearby pubs) or leisure, with local attractions all within about an hour including Shaftesbury (Gold Hill), Sherborne, Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Kingston Lacy, Stourhead, Avebury Stone Circles, Jurassic coast, Hardy's cottage, Larmer Tree Gardens, Compton Abbas airfield, Monkey World, Longleat (Safari Park), and Rushmore golf course. All bedrooms have top of the range Seally bed and are ensuite. 2 cottages; one with 2 doubles and 2 singles (all ensuite), the other with a double (private bathroom) & an ensuite twin

All have towels, linen, toiletries & full English breakfast - dinners available with prior notice. All rooms have 21+? TVs, tea/coffee making facilities, radio/clock, FREE wireless broadband (WiFi) & a hairdryer. Separate entrances and cosy guest sitting rooms with open wood fire or log effect LPG fire

Also DVD/CD/VCD players & HiFi/radios. There is a shared laundry, a beautiful large garden with views & a children?s play area with swings and a slide. Self catering has patio and BBQ

Bournemouth Airport|Air|25|From the Bournemouth airport the quickest way to 2 Northwood Cottages is to take a taxi from the airport. London or South West|Train|100|Take the train to Gillingham (Dorset). At the Gillingham station get a taxi to 2 Northwood Cottages (about a 15 minute ride) From South West (Cornwall)|Road|80|Take the A303 (towards Andover, Basingstoke, London). Turn off on the A350 to Shaftesbury. In Shaftesbury at the first roundabout take the B3091 to Sturminster Newton. When you see the ?Manston? village sign, take the first right on the road to ?Todber 1?, East Stour 3, Gillingham 6?. We are the 3rd house on the right (see the B&B board outside number 2). The North or Wales|Road|50|From the M5 get onto the M4 heading for London. 1. (This is usually quicker) At Junction 18 take the A46 to Bath and then on the A36 heading for Warminster. At the Warminster bypass roundabout take the A350 to Shaftesbury. OR 2. Junction 17 take the A350 south to Shaftesbury. In Shaftesbury at first round-a-bout take the B3091 to Sturminster Newton (3rd exit). When you see the ?Manston? village sign, take the first right on the road to ?Todber 1?, East Stour 3, Gillingham 6?. 3rd house. London and Salisbury|Road|100|From London Take the M3 and then A303 (towards Honiton and Exeter). Turn off on the A350 to Shaftesbury. From Salisbury Take the A36 to Wilton and at the roundabout take the A30 to Shaftesbury. In Shaftesbury take the B3091 to Sturminster Newton. When you see the ?Manston? village sign, take the first right on the road to ?Todber 1?, East Stour 3, Gillingham 6?. We are the 3rd house on the right (see the B&B board outside number 2).
