At Hollycroft, we pride ourselves on being able to provide light and airy bedroom accomodation in a traditional Victorian town house setting. We also offer a cottage on a weekly basis.

At Hollycroft, we strive to provide a warm welcome and a comfortable stay for every guest. Should you require local knowledge or help with further travel arrangements, Alan is your man! He also cooks a splended traditional English breakfast if that is your choice, or a lighter alternative if required. Choose from 1 twin room or 2 doubles, all en suite, with use of large lounge and full Sky coverage

You will find us on the Durham Road, within easy reach of Lumley Castle and the County Cricket ground. For those who require more independence and perhaps a longer stay, our Old Stable Cottage is available on a weekly basis. Here you have the advantage of a separate entrance to a well-equipped and furnished home for 4

The Old Stable is across a shared courtyard and garden at the rear of Hollycroft.

Our breakfast menu includes pork sausage, lean back bacon, hash browns or potato bread, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and egg cooked to your preference. We can also cater for those prefering a lighter or vegetarian breakfast, and you can order this the night before. Try some of Alan`s traditional porridge or his fresh fruit salad with blueberries in season, and finish off with white or brown toast topped with homemade jam.
