Restaurant and RoomsThe Seven Stars Inn, dating from 1724, is a traditional English country Inn located on the edge of picturesque Shincliffe village, only one and a half miles from the centre of Durham city and Durham University. We are ideally placed for that short or long break visiting the wonderful cathedral city of Durham and experiencing the sights and sounds of North East England, a region that is steeped in culture and history.Staying at the Seven Stars is all about relaxing and enjoying great freshly prepared food using the best seasonal local produce along with fine wines from our hand picked list or one of our real ales

The Inn offers 8 en-suite bedrooms all with TV, tea and coffee making facilities and free wireless internet access.Food is served from 12:00pm until 9:00pm Monday to Saturday. On Sundays we served from 12:00pm until 3:00pm and then again from 5:00pm until 8:00pm

Breakfast is served between 7:00am and 9:00am Monday to Saturday and 8:00am until 9:30am on Saturdays and Sundays. The bar is open until 11:00pm Monday to Saturday and until 10:30 on Sundays.Please note that we are unable to take bookings from guests wishing to attend late night functions requiring access to bedrooms after midnight

Guests arriving back in the small hours of the morning are not compatible with regular guests who value the Inn for its peaceful ambiance. Last check in time is 22:00.

Directions:
From the NorthTurn off the A1(M) at junction 62 and turn right onto the A690 in the direction of Durham. Follow the sign for City Centre at the first roundabout. At the second roundabout turn left following the signs for Coxhoe and Bowburn A177. Continue following the signs for Coxhoe and Bowburn A177 until you pass the Rose Tree Inn pub on your right. Shortly after the Rose Tree Inn turn right into Shincliffe and follow the road through the village. You will find the Seven Stars Inn at the very end of the village on the left.From the SouthTurn off the A1(M) at junction 61 and follow the signs for Bowburn on the A177. Continue on through Bowburn and past High Shincliffe then down the hill into Shincliffe village where you will see the Seven Stars Inn on the left.
