The Chimneys Hotel built in 1925, previously known as The Trust and was mostly used by miners who worked at Blackhall Colliery. Lee (Owner and Chef) altered the name to Chimneys because it has so many chimneys and decided to revamp the hotel and bring the interior up to date Now completely refurbished the hotel is very comfortable and a warm welcome awaits all. From Tuesday through to Saturday, you can dine in either the Phoenix restaurant or Ember bar lounge. Also The Chimneys has a car park to the rear with CCTV All of Chimneys nine bedrooms are en-suite and all have been recently refurbished and include digital televisions and tea and coffee making facilities, We cater for private parties (Weddings, Christenings etc) these can be booked with a choice of Buffet menu?s. Other areas/ facilities you can enjoy in our premises are: The Ember Lounge Bar which was named in memory of the local miners who were the hotels loyal customers, it boasts an open coal fire and is decorated tastefully for a relaxing time. The Phoenix Restaurant you can enjoy our lovely two course menus which are served from 12 00 p.m. through to 6 00 pm, also The Trust Sports Bar is open from 11.00 a.m to 11.00 p.m Tuesday to Sunday, it boasts two 50" flat screen TV?s showing all major sporting events along with pool table, darts board and fruit machines.
