Accommodation Description:

The Forresters Hotel & Restaurant is located in the centre of the attractive little town of Middleton in Teesdale. The town is on the Durham side of the river at the point where the Tees is joined by the Hudeshope Beck which runs along the back of the hotel. Middleton is known to have existed in the days of the Vikings when it was owned by King Canute, but did not grow significantly until the 1880 when it became an important lead mining centre.

Middleton and Upper Teesdale are an ideal location for both short breaks and longer holidays with a wealth of activities available. Relax in one of our luxury en-suite rooms, take a coffee in the gardens and dine in our fantastic Restaurant where you can enjoy some of the many creations devised and cooked in house by our renowned French chef. The Forresters offers Bar and Restaurant facilities along with 2 function rooms and garden adjoining the Hudeshope Beck.

It also boasts 8 En Suite bedrooms on the first floor, 5 of which feature staircases to the en suite facilites situated at a higher level. The bedrooms are all newly refurbished and equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, TV and wireless internet. There is a large car park for patrons situated at the rear of the hotel adjacent to the river.

Breakfast is included and this can be taken at any time as food is available all day. If you choose to eat your breakfast late or in the afternoon, you can choose a lunch or light bite instead if preferred. You can eat indoors or outside to take advantage of the large terrace overlooking the river.

Our aim is to provide the best service and we want you to relax and enjoy your stay. Anything that we can help with, please ask and we will do our best. The Forresters Hotel is situated just a few miles from the A66 which can be joined at Scotch Corner on the A1 by any visitors arriving from the South or East of the UK.
