Old Farm, Moreton-in-Marsh

Accommodation Description:
The Righton family has been farming at Dorn for 3 generations. The farmhouse dates back to the 15th Century and has 3 bedrooms, all overlooking the garden. Old Farm is a 300 acre mixed farm with sheep, cattle, pigs, hens and 150 acres of arable land

We have a small farm shop where we sell our home produced meats and other local produce. We serve up our home made bacon and sausages with fresh eggs from our hens for breakfast along with local bread, milk, butter, jam, yoghuts and apple juice.

.

Sarah & Simon Righton welcome you to Old Farm, a family run, three star, 15th Century Farmhouse set on a working farm with an emphasis on friendly service and with all rooms overlooking the garden. The house has been fully modernised, retaining its original charm whilst adding modern amenities including central heating and free wireless internet. We are also members of the Green Tourism Business Scheme, with which we have a gold award

Ideally located, we are only 1 mile from the Cotswold market town Moreton-in-Marsh, which you can reach via a peaceful country walk along the footpath over our fields. We are also only 1 mile from the train and bus stations and offer a courtesy pickup from the station. Please let me know when you book by direct e-mail if you require this service so that we can arrange a mutually convenient time

Relax in our lounge or outside at the picnic tables in our garden, complete with children?s play area. If you can get together a group of 6 we will be happy to offer you a 2 hour tour of the farm, giving you chance to see things in action, and to meet the hens, pigs and other animals. Our breakfasts are freshly cooked with home produced sausages & bacon from our small herd of Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs and fresh free-range eggs

Most of the other ingredients (except the orange juice and breakfast cereals) are sourced from within 14 miles, and all less than 40 miles when available in fact we challenge you to find a breakfast with lower food miles! You can also buy most of the ingredients from our shop and we have a good selection of home produced lamb, beef and pork as well. We do keep gluten free and vegetarian sausages in stock and will try to cater for any requirements if you let us know when booking. We are a working farm and have 2 dogs (Bluey, a working sheep dog and a Weimaraner called BB) and 2 cats - they are friendly and may greet you in the farm yard but are not allowed in the B&B accommodation
