On the edge of the sprawling Badminton estate in the idyllic Cotswolds, this traditional 17th century country inn offers fresh, locally sourced food and local real ale.

Ideal for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Gatcombe Park and Badminton Horse Trials, the homely rooms are are an excellent place to experience traditional British hospitality.

Popular with the locals, you can enjoy award-winning meals and a good pint in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Built in 1652, this inn was originally leased to the Beaufort family for 6p per annum for 1000 years. It has since been lovingly restored and is currently the holder of a number of awards, including the Good Pub Guide 2005 Gloucestershire County Dining Pub of the Year. The drawing room is available for functions, and can hold up to 28 guests. A personalised menu is possible.
