Queen Elizabeth ll stayed at The Cross Hands during a blizzard in 1981. It is a charming old posting house dating from the 14th century and is steeped in history. The restaurant is renowned for its rural menu and specials, with an extensive wine list, whilst the oak beamed Beaufort Bar is ideal for relaxing in and sampling one of the traditional ales and good food

All 21 bedrooms offer full ensuite facilities. Weddings and conferences are a speciality of The Cross Hands, and the hotel can cater for up to 120 guests, with the beautiful gardens adding the finishing touch.
