Riverside House offers modern and comfortable accommodation just 10 minutes walk from the centre of the historic market town of Cirencester, also known as a??The Capital of the Cotswolds', there are excellent road links and easy access to the M4/M5 and the many local attractions.
Situated at the headquarters of The Colt Car Company Limited, official distributor for Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, the hotel is independently managed and is a wonderful inexpensive base from which to discover The Cotswolds.Built some 12 years ago the hotel has recently been refurbished to offer a warm and relaxed environment, with a fully licensed restaurant and bar.
There are 24 bedrooms with all the facilities of a 4 star establishment including en-suite bathrooms, colour TV (with satellite channels), direct dial telephone, trouser press and tea & coffee making facilities.
The bar is open from 5.30 pm each evening where you can enjoy a relaxing drink before dining in the comfortable 60-seat restaurant, where our chefs provide menus of an exceptionally high standard with an extensive choice to tempt a variety of taste buds!
Using the best local produce and only the freshest of ingredients, the chefs provide a superb variety of home style cuisine.
From delicious light snacks to a full three course evening meal the choice is yours.Riverside House is just a stroll from the heart of the Roman Market town of Cirencester, with its ancient church and cobbled side streets.
Within a 10 minute walk from Riverside, you will find the Corinium Museum, telling the history of our Roman town of Cirencester, the Brewery Arts Centre boasting arts and crafts galore, Cirencester Park and the Roman Amphitheatre.
Cirencester is also within easy reach of the world famous Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury, a glorious sight at all times of the year, Keynes Country Park, set in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park, the Cotswold Wildlife Park in Burford which is home to a wide range of spectacular animals and Blenheim Palace in Woodstock to name but a few.Please note that the hotel is unable to accept payments by AMEX.
Also please note the hotel offers Bed and Full English breakfast Sunday to Thursday and Room Only at the weekends (Friday & Saturday) - hence the even better rates available at the weekends.
