Abbey Lodge Guest House is the large Victorian town house home of Linda and Mike Forbes, situated in the heart of Southsea. We will be delighted to welcome you into our home. Once you are here, you can relax and enjoy everything we and the local area have to offer

Abbey Lodge is just a ten minute stroll from the beach and within easy reach of the Historic Dockyard, Heritage Museums, Portsmouth University campus, Gunwarf Quays shopping and entertainment complex, Spinnaker Tower, Kings Theatre and Wedgewood rooms. Ferries to France, Spain and the Isle of Wight are nearby. Accommodation is provided in nine comfortably furnished rooms, where a cosy and welcoming atmosphere is combined with individual attention

A generous, home cooked, traditional English breakfast is cooked to order for you and vegetarian diets are catered for. The businessman is equally pampered, with free wireless Internet access for his laptop and free UK fax facilities. Cyclists are welcome and we are happy to store bikes overnight and to keep your luggage safe should you wish to check in early or leave late

We are lucky to be in one of the few areas in Portsmouth without a residents? parking scheme, so local on-street parking is plentiful and free.

Southamton Airport|Air|21|Abbey Lodge Guest House is approximately 30 minutes drive (21 miles) from Southampton International Airport by road. From the airport terminal, follow the signs to the M27 and join at junction 5 towards Portsmouth: Leave at junction 12 and follow the directions as above driving down the M275. You may also take a Train from the adjacent Southampton Parkway Station to Fratton. Fratton|Train|1|Leaving the platform at Fratton station, at the top of the footbridge turn left and exit onto Goldsmith Avenue. Cross the road at the pedestrian lights and turn right. At the roundabout turn first left into Fawcett Road and cross the mini roundabout further down into Lawrence Road. Go straight over at the traffic lights into Waverley Road. Abbey Lodge Guest House is on the left in about 500m just after Waverley Park: You will see the bright yellow B&B sign outside as you walk down Waverley Road. M27 J12/A27|Road|4|Follow signs for 'Portsmouth West' via M27 J12/A27 and M275, then follow signs for Southsea. At the roundabout at the end of the M275 continue straight over and then take the third exit into Market Way. Go straight over the mini roundabout and then straight on at two more sets of traffic lights into Anglesea Road, you will see Victoria swimming pool on your left. At the next junction, still following the Southsea signs, follow the road around to the left bearing right almost immediately.
