Leominster Bed and Breakfasts

Travel, heritage, and accommodation information

Heritage Rated Hotels and other Historic accommodation Historic Accommodation - heritage rated
We love British heritage and history. If your idea of fine accommodation is an historic medieval coaching inn or an elegant country house hotel, you'll like our new Heritage Rating system for accommodation. We've poured over thousands of bed and breakfasts, hotels, inns, and guest houses in our directory and noted those accommodation properties that offer more than just a room - they offer a taste of history! If you love British heritage, look for Heritage Rated Accommodation or Heritage Rated Accommodation or Heritage Rated Accommodation. Historic accommodation properties, those rated highly on a Heritage Rating, are also highlighted in yellow and listed first. Learn more about Heritage Ratings for historic properties.

Bed and breakfasts are frequently owner-operated, and generally offer a more personal level of service than you might find by staying in a larger hotel. In many cases you will be a guest in the owner's private home.

Leominster Heritage Snapshot
Leominster is named for Earl Leofric, the husband of Lady Godiva, who rode unclothed through the streets of Coventry in protest at her husband's treatment of his vassals. The town dates back to the 7th century, when the parish church was established. There are wonderful examples of medieval buildings along the High Street but the most famous building is Grange Cort, built by the royal carpenter, John Able, in 1633.
