Alkham Court is a working family farm keeping sheep and horses; offering award winning quality accommodation. Alkham Farmhouse is situated on 70 acres of land in the Alkham Valley; an area of outstanding natural beauty. A working farm; we offer 5 star Gold Award accommodation – the highest level of accreditation for guesthouses. We are proud current winners of a Tourism South East ExSEllence Award; and are finalists in this year's Enjoy England Award. We also have a Gold Award for Green Tourism.
Our idyllic setting on the Kent Downs; is complimented by a network of footpaths; bridle paths and cycle routes perfect for walking; cycling or horse riding; with a horse riding centre just ½ mile away. There are also a number of lakes; and of course the piers on the seafront for those keen on fishing.
We are also ideally located for exploring the area; Dover Castle & The White Cliffs are 10 minutes drive; Canterbury and Sandwich 20 and Leeds Castle and Sissinghurst Gardens ½ an hour.Relax in our garden; taking in the views of the surrounding countryside; or take a walk around the farm. In the morning enjoy a locally sourced breakfast with eggs from the farm in our conservatory with its panoramic views.
