Ideally located a 5 minute taxi ride from the station; we are within easy walking distance of The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells with various towns a short drive away. A perfect base for golf or fishing with the nearest golf course 2 miles away and several more within 20-30 minutes. Fishing is possible in any one of the lakes on our grounds. We also have an excellent restaurant. Free parking.
The Beacon offers Four Star accommodation set in a 19th Century building complete with stained glass windows on the attractively wooded Tea Garden Lane. It features magnificent views over our 17 acres of land and the surrounding countryside; views which have barely altered since a Victorian guide book observed it to be 'as beautiful as any England affords'.
Ideally located a 5 minute taxi ride from the station; we are within easy walking distance of the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells. The delightful town of Grimbridge is 15 minutes drive; Penshurst Place 20 and Hever Castle ½ an hour.
We are a perfect base for golf; cycling or fishing fans; with the nearest golf course 2 miles away and several more within 20-30 minutes. Fishing is possible in any one of the lakes on our grounds.
The Beacon is well known in Tunbridge for its excellent restaurant offering modern English/European cuisine; and is a member of Kentish Fair; with all food locally sourced where possible. Guests can relax on our outside decking area in the summer; or by log fires in the oak paneled bar in the winter.
Alternatively; take a walk through our grounds complete with a large treehouse for the children; woodland walks; wildlife; lakes and one of the few genuine ‘chalybeate' springs left in England.
