It has been agreed as regards the main roads which have entrance to and exit from the city that whoever incurs a fine on them shall pay it to the king, and likewise on the main roads outside the city for 1 league and 3 perches and 3 feet. If anyone digs or sets up a post on these roads inside or outside the city, the king's reeve pursues him wherever he goes and exacts a fine for the king's use.
