The Shurland Hotel – formerly known as The Crooked Billet until the 1980s – stands proudly in the middle of Eastchurch village, Isle of Sheppey, Kent. The original building dates back to approx 1821.

Our Hotel offers a wide range of facilities including: Located on the Isle Of Sheppey – about 20 miles from Maidstone, you’ll find one of the most friendly and inviting pubs on the Island. Located in the centre of the quintessentially English village of Eastchurch, the 19th Century pub has been the hub of the community for almost 200 years, and still retains all the charm and character you’d expect. Whether you need to refresh a parched palate after a vigorous walk, or have a lazy Sunday lunch with the whole family, we offer a little something for everyone

With our cozy restaurant and an open fire in the main bar area, the Shurland Hotel has all the appeal of a truly welcoming village pub. Seventeen modern, bright and airy rooms are available for those wishing to stay, including a family room. So, if you want to stay a night or two to explore some of the beautiful countryside (or do some serious shopping in Maidstone or Ashford!), then The Shurland Hotel makes the perfect base

All three being within a five minute drive from The Shurland. We offer corporate rates for Companies and HMPS staff. The Hotel is within a short drive of the RSPB bird reserve on the Elmley Marshes & a great place to hunt for fossils!
