Katerina's Guest House, Rothbury

Accommodation Description:
A warm welcome awaits you at Katerina's Guest House. Once part of the "Old Sun" coaching inn, it sits right next to the village centre, close to all of the amenities of Rothbury, near Alnwick, in the beautiful, unspoilt heart of Northumberland.

Katerina's is ideally placed right next to the village centre of Rothbury. Cath & Ian have lived/worked in this quaint property for 21 years, 1st operating a popular, Egon Ronay-recommended restaurant and now a charming guesthouse. The property has been transformed from its many former uses into a charming guest house, including all modern facilities, whilst still retaining its quaint character, original stone fireplaces and some beamed ceilings

Although the building retains its character, it now has fully en suite bedrooms, all with 4-poster beds and central heating, each room has been decorated and colour co-ordinated using delicate lace and embroidery to enhance its individual style. Every room has its own character.

..

..all have a hint of opulence

The basic tariff covers Bed and Breakfast - choose from a wide menu. A varied selection of evening meals (and accompanying alcohol licence) can also be offered by arrangement. Rothbury and Northumberland National Park are ideal for all types of holidays; enjoy walking, golf, fishing, horse-riding or just relax! The locals are very friendly and the village has a good selection of shops, tea-rooms and pubs

It is also the perfect centre for touring, visiting stately homes, castles, taking in magnificent views. The beautiful coastline and the Scottish Border Country are all within an hour's drive even Edinburgh takes less than 2 hours! Rothbury is just 6 miles off the main A697 route from Newcastle to Edinburgh and we are easily found close to the top of the High Street with ample on-street parking right outside.
