Situated 2 miles from Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site. Some of the finest archaeological remains and museums are nearby, Vindolanda, Housesteads, Chesters and Carvoran. The National Cycle routes 68 and 72 run through the village of Melkridge, making it an ideal stopping off point for those travelling coast to coast

We are within easy access of the beautiful Northumberland coastline and the popular attractions of Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Gardens, Farne Islands and Lindisfarne. Melkridge is also perfectly situated for visits to the Scottish Borders and Lake District. Melkridge is situated 100 metres north of the South Tyne river, one of the best salmon and sea trout rivers in the country

Newcastle Airport|Air|35|If flying to the region, then it is possible to travel by train into Newcastle then onwards to Haltwhistle. Taxis are also available at the airport. Haltwhistle|Train|2|If travellig by train, Haltwhistle is the nearest station. The two mile walk is pleasant on a sunny day, but with luggage a bus from Haltwhistle to Melkridge is best. Services every hour on the 685. Call us for timetable details. A1 and M6|Road|40|If travelling West on the A69 the turnoff to Melkridge is on your left, just before a speed camera If travelling East on the A69 the Melkridge Turn is on the right- dont worry about the camera Follow the road a few yards down to a T junction. The village Green will be to your left. At the junction turn right and Melkridge Farm is the final property in the village on your left. Just drive into the Farmyard and prepare to relax.
