Within 2 miles of the Hotel is Craigside house and country park, which is powered entirely by hydro-electric power. Located within 10 minutes drive of the town of Alnwick, Famous for its markets, castle and recently opened gardens.
Northumberland has more castles and fortified houses than any other English county, other castles worth a visit are Bamburgh, WARKWORTH, and the spectacular cliff top ruins of Dunstanburgh.
The Northumberland coastline is as spectacular as it is varied - from rugged cliffs to stretches of golden sandy beaches, which regularly receive the accolade of some of the cleanest beaches in the world. Dotted along the coastline are many seaside villages and sites to enjoy such as Craster, Seahouses and Alnmouth.
