**Book 2 Consecutive Nights In October, November and December & Save 15%, Book 3 Consecutive Nights & Save 20%** The Queens Head Inn lies in the centre of the Northumbrian village of Rothbury in the heart of the Coquet Valley. Within 1 mile of the Queens is Cragside House and Grounds. Cragside was the first house to be entirely lit by hydro-electric power and the gardens are the biggest rockery in the world. We are within 15 minutes drive of the town of Alnwick, famous for its markets, castle (of Harry Potter fame) and gardens. Northumberland has more castles and fortified houses than any other English county. Other castles worth a visit are Bamburgh, Warkworth, and the spectacular cliff top ruins of Dunstanburgh. The national park is on our doorstep and an 18 hole golf course within a short walk. The Northumberland coastline is as spectacular as it is varied - from rugged cliffs to stretches of golden sandy beaches. Dotted along the coastline are many seaside villages and sites to enjoy such as Craster, Seahouses and Alnmouth. All of our rooms are comfortable with en-suite facilities, central heating, colour televisions, tea/coffee hospitality trays, hairdryers and electric shaver points and they are all non-smoking. There is private parking and a patio garden with smoking shelter. The Queens Head is noted for its excellent home cooked meals. Using the best of local and seasonal produce, we have built an enviable reputation. Whether you choose a bar meal or something from the daily blackboard, we guarantee you will not be disappointed.
