Warkworth House enjoys a fine position in the town of Warkworth, itself cradled by a loop of the River Coquet. The present Warkworth House was built as a traditional coaching inn on the site of four C.18th burgage houses. Coaching inns were established along stagecoach routes as welcome places to rest. We like to feel that we're doing our bit to continue the tradition of providing warm hospitality. The general quality of the facilities is, of course, everything you should expect from a 3-star hotel and we also have a real passion for our food and drink. Many guests stay with us on a short break because of the quality & value of our food, which is appreciated by visitors and locals alike. You can choose to enjoy fine dining in our comfortable restaurant or an equally delicious menu in the more relaxed atmosphere of the No16 bistro or our cosy bar with its local character and open fire. Our excellent, well-chosen range of wines and beers complement the menu perfectly. We offer a range of rooms including a delightful room with four poster bed and two ground floor rooms with wheelchair access. We also have excellent wheelchair access to our public areas: bar, bistro and restaurant.
