Waterperry Gardens - Events diary 2008
 Guided Walks and High Teas are held on the second
Thursday of each month.
Join our experts for a leisurely stroll, highlighting areas of seasonal
interest in our ornamental gardens or around the Waterperry estate.
Walk starts at 2pm from the garden entrance. Places are limited
and tickets costing £15 must be booked and paid for in advance
by calling 01844 339254.
Free entry to the gardens. As a partner garden
of the Royal Horticultural Society, RHS members can enjoy free entrance
to our ornamental gardens during March and September 2008. Membership
cards must be shown and the offer only applies to the cardholder.
Activities for children. We
welcome children to Waterperry, and offer free entry to the ornamental
gardens for all under 10’s. Various children’s activities
are also held within the garden centre area throughout the year. Please

Fresco tours. Guided
tours of the beautiful frescoes in Waterperry House are available. Please
contact us on 01844 339254 for tour dates, times and prices.

historic ornamental garden provides the perfect backdrop for the carpet
of snowdrops on display at this special time of year. You can
also find out how to establish native snowdrop species in your own
garden, and get advice from Waterperry experts.
On February 17th the garden is also open in aid of the National Garden
Scheme, so all entrance fee money will be donated to nursing, caring
and gardening charities.

amphitheatre for a programme of classical music. There’ll
be an interval long enough to enjoy a picnic in the beautiful gardens. Cushions

Event Shakespeare
in the Garden. ‘Much Ado About Nothing’

one of Shakespeare’s best-loved plays being given the unique ‘Oddsocks’ treatment
at Waterperry. ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ will be
performed against the beautiful backdrop of our ornamental garden – a
perfect evening for the whole family. (Suitable for children
aged 8+) Gates open 1 hour before the performance for picnics. No
seating is provided so please bring your own picnic chairs or blankets. All
tickets are NON-refundable. The performance will go ahead regardless
of the weather unless extreme conditions prevail. Tickets cost £15
for adults and £10 for children aged 18 and under.

in Action at Waterperry Gardens

of its kind in Europe. Art in Action gives visitors the chance
to watch artists demonstrate their skills, and even have a go themselves! For

plant sale. (Saturday only)
