The Penscot Inn is ideally located, whether you wish to walk the West Mendip Way and admire the beautiful countryside that is Somerset or enjoy the delights of Bristol, Bath and Wells.

Sitting away from the hustle and bustle of modern life The Penscot Inn prides itself on offering value for money and a relaxing atmosphere in a building as individual as Guy and Sarah who own it. The twelve en suite rooms have been decorated in contemporary colours, with simple furniture and individual touches to reflect the character of the building. Some bedrooms have original fireplaces, some overlook the village green and there is one four poster bed, all have their own character a world away from corporate styling

You can unwind in friendly surroundings, sample the local cider and enjoy freshly prepared produce in the contemporary surroundings of our Bistro which is open Thursday to Sunday. Alternatively food is served every day in our garden room furnished in classic Lloyd Loom furniture overlooking the garden, or the bar with its French windows overlooking the village green. The Penscot Inn is ideally located, whether you wish to walk the West Mendip Way and admire the beautiful countryside that is Somerset or enjoy the delights of Bristol, Bath and Wells

There are 10 golf couses within easy reach, horse riding and shooting as well as Clarke's Village Street and Weston Super Mare..

Meals are served Lunch and Dinner every day of the week in the Bar and Garden Room from a menu of traditioanl casual eating. Fantastic locally sourced Steaks sit alongside Steak and Kidney Pie, Loin of Pork with local Cider Sauce and even baguettes all prepared using fresh local produce wherever possible. From Thursday evening to Sunday the stunning new Barn Bistro is open serving light modern dishes from a menu that changes with the seasons and availability.
