Laurel Farmhouse, Bury St Edmunds

Accommodation Description:
We warmly invite you to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of our Suffolk home. Miles of open space surround the farmhouse. The bedrooms benefit from stunning views over the garden and pond, and the surrounding farmland is unspoilt in over one hundred years

The spectacular oak cart lodge which stands at the end of the gravel drive impresses upon us that we are in the heart of Suffolk. Entering the front door of the farmhouse, you will see the 18th Century beamed dining room where you will be served a traditional English Breakfast. Also the lounge, with the original oak beams, an ideal room to relax in the evening, or even at the beginning of your stay with a complimentary cup of tea or coffee served with home-made biscuits or cake

If the sun is shining on your arrival, you may like to sit in the garden with your refreshments! Laurel Farmhouse is just a 10 minute drive to the beautiful market town of Bury St Edmunds, which attracts many visitors every year. The Abbey Gardens are a particular favourite for tourists, and the Abbey itself has stood for over 300 years. The Millennium Tower is now its crowning glory, and was 5-years in the process of being built

There is a vast choice of places to eat around the town, in addition to some quaint independent retailers if you like to shop. The market is a hive of activity each Wednesday and Saturday, and has a wide variety of choice from tasty olives and breads to household items and clothing.
