With its commanding Tudor faade, tall chimneys and a huge carved oak entrance, this splendid hotel sits amongst beautiful gardens and fine trees in the heart of Woodbridge, Suffolk. Tudor arches lead you through Seckfords historic corridors; the proud past of the hall can be seen and appreciated by all who give time to experience it all. Offering a blend of luxury, snug accommodation and the charming history of the hotel, the care and detail, which is lovingly sustained by its present owners, make this one of the countys premier hotels and restaurant

During your stay, take time to enjoy the hotels splendid gardens and lake and, if time permits, there are a further 34 acres of private pasture and woodland to explore. You can certainly leave behind all the pressures of city life, as the only bustle is that of the wildlife, at home in the calm of the countryside. The hotel owes its illustrious past to the long line of the Seckford family, and for over 520 years their heritage can still be appreciated

Throughout the hotel, the very best of care has been taken to successfully blend modern facilities with the hotels varied and regal past. Benefitting from its Elizabethan past, large quantities of oak was used in the panelling, ceilings, doors and archways, with intricate carvings depicting the history and splendour of its period. Little touches of history preserve its past with pieces of furniture that once graced Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle

The panelled lounge of the hotel was once a great hall and in it sits the very chair where King Edward VII was said to have died. In truly unique surroundings, the courtyard leisure facilities are set inside a magnificent 1550s Tudor Tithe barn, which is adjacent to the hotel. Here you can enjoy the crystal clear waters of the large swimming pool and, for those who wish to expend more energy, a fully equipped and modern gymnasium is at your disposal

The hotel also has a health and beauty salon, with a qualified beautician. In addition there is a conference room facility which provides the perfect area for executive meetings in air conditioned comfort. Seckford Hall Hotel has 2 restaurants for you to enjoy

These are open to both hotel visitors and the general public. Close by is The Courtyard Restaurant, which offers light meals and a relaxing drink after a healthy day of sporting leisure, also available are afternoon teas, together with Bistro style suppers. An intimate setting for sumptuous dining awaits you in the oak panelled dining room

Each table beautifully presented with crisp cotton linen and sparkling glasses. Specialising in lobster dishes, the chef pays particular attention to fresh ingredients available from local farms and fishing waters. Take time to peruse the extensive menu, offering a wide selection of fresh fish and tender meat dishes, individually prepared for each guest

There is also a selection of vegetarian dishes imaginatively created and presented for guests who prefer not to eat meat, but leave a little room for desert! There is a wide selection of fine wines from world vineyards to complement your meal. Bar Lunches: Ideal for that quick business lunch or to catch up with family and friends, enjoy the cosy and warm atmosphere of the Tudor Bar and Lounge areas. Available Monday to Saturday lunchtimes only

The delicious home cooked lunch menu includes tasty sandwiches, bar meals and snacks. Banqueting in the Lakeside Suite: The Lakeside Suite holds up to 120 people. It is a popular venue for weddings and conferences
