The hotel provides an excellent base for touring our historic region, which includes many places of interest and beauty: Hadrian's Wall, Beamish Museum, the market towns of Hexham and Morpeth as well as the castles of Alnwick, Warkworth and Bamburgh. Clifton House is a quiet family run hotel set in its own grounds

It is an elegant Victorian house built in 1880 and has been refurbished to offer modern facilities whilst maintaining its original charm and character. A licensed bar is available for guests. Group bookings for Newcastle's night life are not accepted as the hotel prides itself on its peaceful atmosphere and ambience
