Don't worry about parking either as free parking is available right outside Annie's.

No problem, as well as local bus services, South Shields is part of the frequent and rapid Tyne and Wear Metro (train) system, linking Gateshead, Newcastle, North Shields, South Shields, Sunderland and Tynemouth.

Free parking is available right outside and we are just a few minutes walk from the Tyne & Wear Metro (train), South Shields bus station and the South Shields ferry terminal.

Arriving by bike?

We are just a hundred yards from a National Cycle Route and we are happy to offer free on site overnight cycle and motorcycle parking.

We offer clean, comfortable, quality accommodation at very competitive rates all year round.

For your comfort all our rooms have double-glazed opening windows complete with black-out roller blinds, individual temperature controls, study desk with lamp, TV's with Freeview, free wireless internet, alarm clock, refreshments tray, hairdryer and big soft towels.

Full (cooked) English breakfast (freshly cooked to order) is served from 6.30am seven days a week in Annie's dining room and during the rest of your stay with us a guest fridge and microwave is available.

Directions
By car: Annie's Guest House is on the 'A194' (Beach Road) leading from South Shields town centre to the coast. The A194 is signposted just before you reach Gateshead and Newcastle (Northbound) on all major routes into the North East. Southbound take the 'A19' Tyne Tunnel and follow the 'A194' (Beach Road.) By Metro (train) from Sunderland, Newcastle city centre and Newcastle airport: Take the "South Shields" (yellow) Metro line East to 'South Shields' stop. As you exit the station head east onto 'King Street' the main shopping area. At the end of the street there is a mini- roundabout. Turn right here then take your first left onto 'Beach Road.' By bus: At South Shields bus station head east onto 'King Street' the main shopping area. At the end of the street there is a mini- roundabout. Turn right here then take your first left onto 'Beach Road.'
