Built in 1854, and still containing many original features, this historical hotel boasts the most spectacular views of the south coast of the Island. The position is perfect for Shanklin Old and New towns and overlooks Shanklin esplanade and the beach. Being situated on the edge of the famous cliff path it also is ideally situated for a leisurely stroll or a full cliff walk for the more enthusiastic. We have 26 guests rooms, including triples, singles, twins, doubles and family rooms. Cots and highchairs can be provided please request at time of booking. Our rooms are comfortable and pleasantly furnished with 60% offering sea views. Many of the rooms have outlooks towards Sandown Bay, Culver Cliffs and Shanklin Chine. Our sea view rooms are in demand, but don't worry you can also enjoy the fantastic sea views from our garden, dining room, bar/conservatory and of course the outdoor swimming pool. Most rooms are good standard sea views which carry a small supplement. However we do have 4 premium sea views and a superior sea view that is wheelchair friendly, that have a higher supplement. If bringing a car over to the Island you must book a ferry. It is advisable to pre-book in order to get competitive rates. The cliffhall can book your ferry at any of the 3 ports, Southampton, Porstmouth or Lymington at trade ratee. Please enquire at time of booking
