Directions:
The Ryedale guest house in shanklin is about a hundred yards from the Railway Station. You can buy rail tickets to Shanklin from the mainland and the price includes the passenger ferry ticket from Southsea to Ryde. From the Fishbourne ferry take the A3054 to Ryde. Go completely through Ryde following the signs for the A3055 Sandown and Shanklin. Keep on the A3055 through Sandown and Lake. Having passed though Lake go on into Shanklin and turn right at the first set of traffic lights. This will take you into Atherley Road. The Ryedale Hotel is at the far end on the left.
