Description:
A thriving, traditional pub tucked away in a beautiful Wiltshire village near the River Wylye. The garden, bar & dining areas are comfortable & welcoming. An ideal base when visiting the South West.
The Dove Inn at Corton is a thriving, traditional pub tucked away in a beautiful Wiltshire village close to the River Wylye. A dramatic central fireplace is a feature of the refurbished bar, and the large garden is the site of summer barbecues and ideal for a drink on warm days. Five ensuite bedrooms built around a courtyard make The Dove an ideal touring base with Salisbury and Bath within easy reach. Whether for a weekend, a few days or just overnight, Bath, Salisbury and Stonehenge are just a few of the wonderful locations within a short drive of The Dove. For a more active stay, we can help you organise walking, rambling, horse-riding on miles of bridleways, pedalling the Wiltshire cycle-way, field sports and golf meetings. Some of Britain's best fishing is available locally - for trout on the famous Wylye river - for carp and tench in lakeland waters. Our food is based around West Country produce with many of the ingredients coming from the local area. Popular lunchtime bar snacks give way to a full evening a la carte. We have an excellent range of well kept real ales. Your hosts, Michael and Beverley, welcome you to savour the delight that The Dove offers in a unique and personal way.
