Cathedral Cottage is an ideal place to stay, being right in the middle of the beautiful city of Salisbury, opposite the Cathedral thus providing good views of the Spire from both rooms. Park your car or arrive by train. Spend a few days just enjoying yourself, strolling around the splendid shops or taking in the sights, leave all the stresses behind you, and relax. There are lots of attractions, good restaurants and pubs. There are regular bus services for visiting places of interest further afield. For example, Stonehenge, Wilton House, Bath, New Forest and the south coast. Also festivals/services in Salisbury cathedral, International Arts Festival (May/June) and Race Meetings. For golfers there is the South Wilts Golf Club, High Post Golf Club and others. You could visit a world-famous example of 18th century English landscape at Stourhead, or the UK's first safari park Longleat. Take a walk across the water meadows and have a drink by the river, or if you are feeling more energetic, hire bikes and explore cycle ways.
