The Kings Arms Hotel, Malmesbury

Accommodation Description:
The Kings Arms in Malmesbury is currently undergoing refurbishment to restore this beautiful 16th Century building to it former glory. Please note that we do have car parking but the archway to get to it is rather narrow the majority of cars are absolutely fine however some 4x4's may struggle please feel free to call and check with the hotel before booking. We look forward to welcoming you to the Kings Arms

The Kings Arms dates back to the 16th century so we have had to ensure that All building works meets listed building approvalThe Kings Arms has had a major face lift the entire building is now painted a lovely traditional sage green and is certainly very in keeping with The Hilltop beautiful town of MalmesburyNew Sign boards address the property with nice new lighting The Kings Arms has returned to its former gloryThe entire building has been re plumbed and every accommodation room has benefited from an upgraded shower system for instant hot water. The New Bar 29 has recently opened which is for the use of residents it serves fine local Ales wines and cocktails. Illy coffee is available so read your newspaper whilst watching Sky News and sitting in the window watching busy Malmesbury go about their business

The bar and hotel complex has free WIFI and is attracting many business meetings to the premises and can even be used to interview staff.A new 120 occupancy function room has just been opened at The Kings Arms with flat screen audio projection system ideal for business conferences. There are so many uses this function room it can be used for Weddings Parties business meetings and events and even can be tailor made and hired to watch major sporting events

Unfortunately The Kings Arms had a very bad reputation and The Management Team have worked very hard with the residents and Council to improve this listed building and make this a complex worth visiting again.Reports detailed below are negative but these were reports whilst the building was in a bad state of repair which we can now say is 90% better than when Malmesbury Leisure acquired the premises in August 2010.The Company has invested in excess of £300K in the premises and intend to make a further investment in January to revamp the kitchens and bedrooms to a very high standard

We have had many happy guests stay with us and our visitor's book has lots of excellent commentsEvery week the Hotel has improved and we are really happy with the style and look of the New Kings Arms Hotel Malmesbury. We are very proud to have a Michelin trained Chef who joined The Kings Arms 6 weeks ago the food is now absolutely excellent and most weekends we are fully booked and it is often best to book a table if you are staying with us for a weekend. All food is sourced locally

Every Sunday we serve a Sunday Carvery which is excellent value for moneyTo anyone staying with us previously Thank you for your patience whilst the building works have been going on we knew it wouldn't be easy when we purchased The Kings Arms but it was worth it.Please come back and visit us again soon. The King's Arms Hotel is a late 16th century coaching inn situated in the centre of the historic and beautiful hilltop town of Malmesbury

The hotel has 11 en-suite letting rooms all differing in layout and each with their own unique character. The second is the sportsman's bar across the way which comes to life on weekends - look out for regular entertainment on offer over the coming months! There is a separate function room upstairs which can be hired for private events which has its own bar and is also home to our skittles alley. We also have a meeting room for hire with projector and screen whiteboard and catering services available. The King's Arms have earned many Accolades and Awards yet maintains its down to earth nature and welcoming atmosphere
