Description:
The Grove Arms @ Ludwell is a charming 16th Century Grade II listed country Inn situated close to the Dorset / Wiltshire border and is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area of outstanding natural beauty either by foot, bike or motor car.
The Inn, once owned by the Grove family; baronets and extensive local landowners, combines warm, friendly Bars & Restaurants with high standard en-suite accommodation.
Our Restaurants "The Crest" and "Jazz Room" are ideal for small or large parties and boast a varied menu in which our team of chefs, under our Head Chef Dave, places the focus on fresh, British ingredients including daily fresh fish from the south coast and Scotland and meat mainly from Dorset and Wiltshre.
We also cater for vegetarians with our own secret recipes!
Smaller appetites are also catered for as well as those with special dietry requirements.
One can also enjoy snacks, meals and local Cask Ales from Blandford in the "Below Decks" bar.
The Grove accommodation, which has its own entrance, consists of two single rooms(Rms 1 & 2) and two double rooms (Rms 3 & 4) on the first floor, whilst on the second floor there is the Twin Room (Rm5) and also the Family Room (Rm6).
Also located on the first floor is "The Residents Lobby" which is available for those residents wishing to make tea or coffeee, have a quiet read, play board games or watch television together.
It is often used by our guests attending weddings, who arrive early and need to gather together with a snack before leaving.
