The Kings Head Inn - Salisbury Wetherlodge, Salisbury

Accommodation Description:
Salisbury Wetherlodge is situated above the Kings Head Inn, formerly the County Hotel. This three storey building was built in 1874 for the richardson brothers, wine and spirit importers, shippers and wholesalers. It was then britains oldest wine and spirit business

Origanally known as City Chambers, the building was occupied by wine merchants until the late 20th Century.Situated in the center of the city, Salisbury wetherlodge is the perfect base for exploring the city and surrounding areas.Ideal for corporate guests, with easy access to the town center, car parking and ring roads

Salisbury Wetherlodge is the closet travel accommodation to Salisbury Playhouse and City Hall. Both providing excellent entertainment all year round. Salisbury is a lively, vibrant city, dominated by a cathedral of exceptional beauty, topped by Englands tallest spire standing at an impressive 123m404ft

This Gothic Masterpiece (housing one of the four remaining copies of the nations most historic doucuments - the Magna Carta) stands in the close. The close not only houses the cathedral but also: Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum, The Wordrobe Military Museum, Mompesson House and The Medieval Hall.Twice Weekly markets are still held in the central square

Colourful, bustling, noisey, friendly and full of exciting aromas from freshly ground coffee and fresh bread to spit roast chicken, doughnuts and newly cut folwers. Also carpets, clothes, shoes, jewellery, kitchenware, mobile phones and wooden furniture, in fact the range of goods on offer is endless and at exceptional prices.PLEASE NOTE: Due to our central location we are unable to offer on site parking, however, there is a large pay and display car park just a short walk from the lodge

The bar plays music until 1am Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
