Welcome to the Maypole Inn. We are located in Long Preston, and are a Seventeenth-century inn on the village green. From the Inn there is easy access to many attractive walks in the Yorkshire Dales

The Maypole Inn has a long and strong reputation for serving fine home cooking in its warm, spacious dining room. As well as traditional pub dishes, there is a varied menu of daily specials which include vegetarian and fish dishes. The two cosy bars both have open fires in winter, we are in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide (curent holders of Pub of the season for spring 2009) and Good Pub Guide, inclusion in these guides is by recommendation only

There is an outside drinking area looking out to the hills behind. The village Long Preston lies in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is an ideal centre for walking, cycling or touring holidays: open moorland, the hill slopes of the Pennines, caves and waterfalls are all within easy reach of the village

Sporting and leisure activities are catered for locally including walking, pony trekking, mountain climbing, cycling, pot holing, fishing and golf. Our 6 bedrooms provide well furnished, comfortable accommodation of 4 star Inn rating inspected by the English Tourist Board. Each room has a private bathroom, television and tea/coffee making facilities

The rooms vary in size and can accommodate everyone from single guests to family groups. There is a separate sitting room for guests and ample off-road parking.
