Built in the 1880s, this elegant Victorian house is perfectly located on the West cliff to access the many delights Whitby and the surrounding areas have to offer. At Sandpiper House you will find everything you would expect from an AA Four star establishment, plus a whole lot more. Peter and Manetta would like to welcome you to share and enjoy their home. Coupled with their knack of providing excellent personal service whilst remaining quietly in the background, you will feel both totally spoilt and completely at home. We pride ourselves on using the finest quality local produce to make your stay that little bit more special. Great care is taken to provide guests with the best of everything. Steaming cafetieres of fresh coffee, Fortunes Whitby oak-smoked kippers, smoked below the cliffs of the Abbey headland, bacon and sausage from local butchers with free-range eggs laid by hens that are allowed roam between fields and woodlands go someway to making Sandpiper breakfasts a real treat. Sandpiper House has great reviews on Trip Advisor. Also available are four centrally located self catering apartments at Elizabeth House, 50 yards from our guest house. They are equipped with everything to make your stay a relaxing and pleasurable one. The four spacious holiday apartments have been awarded either 3 or 4 star ratings by the English Tourism Board. These offer studio apartments to two bedroomed apartments sleeping from two to five people. We also offer a bed and breakfast option with the apartments giving the space of your own apartment with the luxury of a Sandpiper breakfast.
