We are situated down a private country lane 10 minutes North East of the Historic City of York, the ideal place to base yourself for touring the North York Moors National Park, Yorkshires wonderful coastline and of course York with its many treasures. Claxton Hall Cottage Bed and Breakfast, originally part of the Walker family estate has beamed ceilings, log fires, four poster beds and period furniture, your comfort is our main priority. All the rooms are en-suite, our family live in the adjoining cottage, near enough to care for your needs, but giving guests the freedom to relax and enjoy their holiday. The beauty of this is that you can book a single room or the entire cottage and still know that we will be on hand to prepare your breakfast and care for you. Your stay with us is made as relaxing as possible starting with home baked cake and tea on arrival, if the full English breakfast does not appeal you can even request a Continental breakfast in your room

If you wish to be out of the hustle and bustle of the City, have no parking problems and relax in a quiet location, Claxton Hall Cottage is the place for you. Once checked in you have 24 hour access to the property and can come and go as you please.

From York take the A64 towards MaltonScarborough. 4 miles along the A64 you will pass a public house on the left called the Tanglewood. Stay on the A64 for another mile and there will be a sign on the left for Claxton Hall Cottage BandB. Take the private lane on the left next to the sign follow the lane and we are the first property.
