Following our recent purchase of Amerdale House we have carried out some major changes.
We have refurbished the hotel with luxury guest bedrooms, a new restaurant, kitchen and bar all to maximise your enjoyment of this fantastic part of the Yorkshire Dales.We both enjoy our work as qualified Chefs and Restaurateurs.
This was recognised in 2005/6 when we won a Michelin BIB Gourmand Award, an AA Rosette award, became listed in The Good Food Guide 2006 and also the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide 2006.So for 2007 you are invited to experience a whole new Amerdale House a€" not so much a Country House Hotel but more a a€œRestaurant with Roomsa€.
We hope you will join us soon.Amerdale House is located on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Arncliffe, one of the most beautiful in the Yorkshire Dales with a population of approximately 60.
The village nestles at the bottom of the steep sided valley of the River Skirfare a€" a feeder to the always impressive River Wharfe.
The surrounding villages of Grassington, Kilnsey, Kettlewell and Buckden add to every visitor's enjoyment of the Dale as they proudly provide for the Relaxing Rambler or the more Demanding Discoverer.The restaurant is our pride and joy.
Major changes included new interiors and an enlarged relaxing bar.
The Dinner Menu will delight you with exquisite dishes made from only the very best in local produce be they game, fish, beef or vegetarian.By offering you the best from local farmers and suppliers we promise that our award winning chefs will deliver fabulous food all year round including our speciality fish dishes and our hand made truffles!Our impressive 200 year old vaulted wine cellar is always stocked with an abundance of Old and New World wines and liqueurs.Our en-suite guest bedrooms have been refurbished.
