The Lodge is conveniently located just off the A1 at Bedale in North Yorkshire.
The comfortable 39 roomed lodge with shop, restaurant, cafe, bar and meeting rooms is ideal for the business and leisure traveller alike due to its location between the north york moors and Yorkshire Dales and close by the industrial North East.
The Lodge is the ideal stop off point halfway between London and Scotland - just 10 miles south of Scotch Corner.
All rooms are non smoking.All bedrooms are ensuite and feature all modern comforts such as trouser press, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
The Executive rooms have air conditioning and 32 inch flat screen tvs.
Some of these rooms are situated on the ground floor and have wheelchair access.The Old Market Square Restaurant & Cafe Bar enjoy an award winning reputation, renowned for traditional English cuisine complimented by friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Virtual reality world of a Market Town in the Restaurant has been created by a local artist.
Doors, Windows & Shop Fronts all tell a story that reflects the history of the owners over the last 50 years.
Access via reception is through a level passage with no steps to negotiate, easy for anyone with limited mobility or users of wheelchairs.Bedale and the surrounding area is ideal for walking, fishing, riding, touring by car and shopping.
Country houses and castles abound in this beautiful landscape that was painted by Turner and written about by the Herriot novels.

Croft Motor Racing Circuit (15 km) and the historic towns and cities of York, Ripon, Richmond and Harrogate are all within easy reach.
Lightwater Valley theme park (10 km) and shopping centre are only a 15 minute drive away.

Enjoy white-knuckle roller-coasters, or, for the less adventurous, there is a stem train, boating lake and a children's visitor farm.
The Lodge has a tourist information centre located in the shop.
The Wensleydale Railway passes through some of the most beautiful scenrey in the Yorkshire Dales, running for 17 miles from Leeming Bar to Redmire on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Trains run throughout the year (daily during the summer; at weekends and during school holiday periods during the rest of the year).
