A square pillar incised with a cross-of-arcs. The cross dates to the 7th century, and has an inscription which treads 'LOC STI PETRI APV.STOLI', which translates as 'of the place of Apostle Peter'. The stone was likely carved at Whithorn and stood at ‘The place of Peter’, on the pilgrim trail to the Isle of Whithorn. It may have marked a sacred site such as a graveyard.
