Town centre location, offering comfortable facilities with friendly service, and locally or regionally sourced food. On-site car parking and secure storage for golf clubs, bikes etc.

The G&A as it is known locally is the largest building in the centre of the picturesque town of Melrose, and is of a grand Victorian style although the original building is some 400 years old. The hotel has 29 guest bedrooms and also offers a public bar, Scott's Dinning Room and three seperate function or conference rooms. All guest rooms are en-suite offering either a shower facility or bath and shower

The rooms are comfortably furnished and offer tea/coffee making facilities, TV with 12 digital channel selection, direct dial telephone utilising digital lines which allow computer connectivity and also secure wireless internet access in most rooms. Please note all rooms are only accessed from the main staircase as there is no lift in the building. Scott's is the main dinning area and offers a selection of dishes featuring locally and regionally sourced produced cooked by award winning chefs

Scott's provides a warm friendly and informal dinning environment in which to enjoy the food which is cooked to order from the fresh ingredients. The Bar@The G&A is a great place for the localsand guests to enjoy a drink. Now featuring real ales from North-East, Cumbrian or Scottish Breweries it is becoming well known for the quality of it's ales

A large screen TV shows sports events from normal channels or Setanta Sports and a pool table is also available. The three conference and function rooms offer facilities for meetings, conferences and social occassions including Weddings.

Galashiels|Bus|4|A number of regular local services run to and from Melrose to this main bus terminal Edinburgh|Air|45|Bus link to Edinburgh then X95 to Galashiels then local bus service to Melrose OR at Edinburgh service 62 through to Melrose (approx 2.5 hours journey) By car from the airport follow signs to City Bypass A720 East bound. Follow A720 to roundabout junction with A68 / A7 to pickup A6091 Melrose Berwick upon Tweed|Train|35|Taxi services from the station are available and will cost approx ?55 Bus service number 67 runs from Berwick through Melrose to Galashiels and takes approx 1.5 hours to make the journey. Road directions are from Berwick to Coldstream to Kelso to St Boswells to Melrose taking approximately 1 hour. A7|Road|4|Follow the A7 to its junction roundabout on the outskirts of Galashiels. Turn right following directions for A68 Jedburgh / A6091 Melrose. Take 2nd exit at next roundabout Take 2nd exit at next roundabout following Melrose sign. Continue on this road into Melrose. Opposite Melrose RFC and immediately before petrol station turn right into St Dunstans Road and follow this to the end where it rises up on to the hotel secondary car park. This parking area or the main parking area can be used. A68 / A6091|Road|3.5|At the roundabout junction of the two roads From the South - turn left From the North - turn right Follow the A6091 to the juntion signed Melrose - turn right and follow down to the Market Square. Pass through the Square and the Hotel is approx 300 metres down the High Street on the left. The entrance to the car parking it as the far end if the building.
