On-site car parking and secure storage for golf clubs, bikes etc. The G&A as it is known locally is the largest building in the centre of the picturesque town of Melrose, and is of a grand Victorian style although the original building is some 400 years old. The hotel has 29 guest bedrooms and also offers a public bar, Scott's Dinning Room and three seperate function or conference rooms. All guest rooms are en-suite offering either a shower facility or bath and shower The rooms are comfortably furnished and offer tea/coffee making facilities, TV with 12 digital channel selection, direct dial telephone utilising digital lines which allow computer connectivity and also secure wireless internet access in most rooms. Please note all rooms are only accessed from the main staircase as there is no lift in the building. Scott's is the main dinning area and offers a selection of dishes featuring locally and regionally sourced produced cooked by award winning chefs Scott's provides a warm friendly and informal dinning environment in which to enjoy the food which is cooked to order from the fresh ingredients. The Bar@The G&A is a great place for the localsand guests to enjoy a drink. Now featuring real ales from North-East, Cumbrian or Scottish Breweries it is becoming well known for the quality of it's ales A large screen TV shows sports events from normal channels or Setanta Sports and a pool table is also available.
