Best Western Station Hotel, Dumfries, Dumfries

Accommodation Description:
The Station Hotel is ideally situated in the heart of historic Dumfries. In June 1897, the Station Hotel opened its doors to the public. Built on a site opposite the Railway Station, it was a fore-runner of its time, including such modern convieniences as electric lights, a passenger lift and heating which was ventilated mechanically to all rooms via flues and upwards to the central tower, a wee known landmark in Dumfries

Through its ownership by the railways the hotel built up a reputation locally and was County set, it being the place to be seen.We have ample car parking on site, free to residents and Hotel users. The main business, shopping and nightlife areas are only 5 minutes away in the town of Dumfries

Jumping Jaks being our main night club with various other clubs and pubs and for the shopping guests places like Marks and Spencers, Woolworths, TJ hughes, Next and many more.Being the Station Hotel makes us an excellent choice if travelling by Rail and we are also easily accessable from many of the major roads leading into Dumfries. The Hotel comprises of 32 En-suite rooms, a newly refurbished Courtyard Bistro and a relaxing Lounge area which leads out to a lovely garden with fountain and outside seating area, weather permitting

We are part of the Best Western Hotel Group and are of Connoisseur status which is awarded for a higher standard of service and accommodation and a good range of quality facilaties. We are fully licensed for both civil and religious marriage ceremonies, with a wealth of experience on how to ensure your day is as perfect as you deserve it to be.We also have extensive meeting room options, and all associated equipment is available for hire

We pride ourselves on our friendly service and would look forward to welcoming you to our Hotel.
