Directions from Glasgow: Take the M74. After roughly half an hour take the A702 south signposted to Thornhill and Drumlanrig Castle. When you reach the T junction leading onto the A76 turn left to Thornhill carry on through the village for 1 mile. Trigony House Hotel is on the right hand side.Directions from EdinburghJourney time approx: 1.5 hoursTake the A702 south from Edinburgh(signposted Biggar and Carlisle) on to the A74 south bound.Carry on along the A74 for about 5 miles and then take the A702 south signposted Thornhill and Drumlanrig Castle.When you reach the T junction leading onto the A76 turn left to Thornhill carry on through the village for 1 mile.Trigony House Hotel is on the right hand side.Directions from Carlisle Take the M6 North to the town of Gretna Green.Here turn lef on the A75 toward Dumfries Stranraer.At the town of Dumfries take the A76 Kilmarnock.12 miles North of Dumfries the Trigony House Hotel is on the left hand side of the road in between the villages of Closeburn and Thornhill.
