In the area, there is a great variety of things to see and do, Dumfries and Galloway is one of Scotland?s favourite tourist destinations. The area is ideal for nature lovers and walkers, with many quiet country routes to explore. It has some of Scotland?s best natural scenery and is famous for its lovely historic houses and wonderful gardens. The climate too is amongst the mildest in Scotland.For children there are plenty of activities to keep them happy, with quadbike riding, horse riding and countless sporting activities.
