The Sheiling Guest House is Ullapools finest Guest House, a very comfortable, modern home, which stands peacefully beside the shore of Loch Broom, Ullapool. The Sheiling is set within one acre of its own grounds and enjoys spectacular views of mountains and lochs. Ullapool is a fishing village located on the North West coast of Scotland

It provides access to the Outer Hebridies and the numerous nearby islands including Lewis, Harris, North & South Uist, Benbecula and Barra. Ullapool itself has many attractions including a museum and many scenic walks. The Sheiling itself boasts a comfortable residents lounge with open fire and TV, which is available all day should the weather be inclement, and a spacious split-level breakfast room where only the best of Highland fare is served

Both these rooms look out over the loch. Also located within the grounds is the ?Sportsmans Lodge? comprising laundry, drying room, sauna and shower. Wireless internet access is available

There are six en-suite bedrooms - four double and two twin bedded rooms. Two rooms have en-suite bath, and four have en-suite shower. All rooms are comfortably furnished and have TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and a welcoming glass of sherry

Guests are welcome to make use of the gardens where they can stroll down to the shore. Among its many attractions Ullapool has restaurants, bars, shops, a leisure centre with swimming pool, and a superb 9 hole golf course.

The Sheiling has a spacious breakfast room with fantastic views over the garden to the loch and mountains. Breakfasts are freshly cooked to order and includes local specials of lochinver smoked haddock and organic smoked salmon from the Ullapool Smokehouse. All our crockery is from the Highland Stonerware Pottery located in Ullapool.

Durness|Road|70|When entering Ullapool from the North, follow the A835 towards and through Ullapool which will take you onto Garve Road. Pass the petrol station on your left and head towards Inverness. Turn right for The Sheiling at the 40mph speed sign, go past Dromnan and The Sheiling is the next house on your right. Inverness|Bus|56|Buses for Ullapool can be found at the main Inverness bus station. Please note there are no bus services on a Sunday to Ullapool, and restricted bus services for weekdays linked to ferry timetables. Inverness Airport|Air|62|At Inverness airport there are a number of hire car firms. Or there are transfer buses from the airport to the bus station from where you can take a bus to Ullapool. By road from Inverness airport, follow signs to Inverness and then follow the directions by road. Inverness|Train|56|From Inverness railway station, take a bus from the nearby bus station to Ullapool, or hire a car and follow directions by road. Inverness|Road|56|Take the A9 north from Inverness, then pick up the A835 to Ullapool. Follow the A835 all the way to Ullapool. When entering Ullapool The Sheiling is on your left. Coming from the 40mph zone into the 30mph zone, turn left for The Sheiling by the 30mph sign, pass Dromnan Guest House and The Sheiling will be on your right.
