Antfield House, Dores

Accommodation Description:
Situated amid mature woodland in a quiet spot in the country Antfield House offers a quiet stay within pleasant surroundings.

A quality bed & breakfast just a mile from Loch Ness & the quiet village of Dores. As it is just a few minutes drive from the city of Inverness it is an ideal base for business or pleasure. Enjoy an idyllic location with stunning scenery in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland, with an abundance of activities within the area you'll be sure to find what you're looking for to have a great holiday

The village of Dores provides a dramatically picturesque gateway to South Loch Ness. The location looks, and feels, like the very end of the Loch, even if, in strict geographical terms, there is a short distance to go. From any point on the long shingle beach which arcs away from the Dores Inn the view is awesome, 22 miles down the narrow loch towards Fort Augustus, with the steep sides of the Great Glen fault rising over 1000 feet on each side

It is a view that is photographed over and over again - different every day, every hour, as the light and the weather changes with infinite variety. On a calm day, strange mirages warp the distant horizon, and when the prevailing wind blows it drives waves the whole length of the Loch to crash onto the beach. Don't forget the Jewel in the crown

..

.the stunning Loch Ness, whatever season you may be visiting, the Loch retains its awesome beauty & mystery. Dores beach is just 2 miles away & from there you can enjoy the panoramic views from the northern tip of the Loch, enjoy a drink & a meal in the local Inn and perhaps

..if you're lucky, a glimpse of the famous Loch Ness Monster!!
