Avalon is a modern, spacious, high quality guest house and is ideally situated to be your base for touring the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. Our location on the main A82 tourist route means you are within easy reach of many places to visit such as the famous Loch Ness, just a few minutes away, Fort William, Isle Of Skye, Cairngorm National Park and Ben Nevis mountain range, to name but a few. We are a 15 minute walk to the City Centre and just five minutes walk to the River Ness, Ness Islands, Eden Court Theatre and Inverness Cathedral

Our guest rooms which have recently been re-decorated and re-carpeted are spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything you might need for a pleasurable stay. Our Family Rooms are now spacious Double Rooms and we only accept children if old enough to sleep in a room of their own. Five of our rooms have bright and fresh en-suite shower rooms and one has its very own private shower room

All have fluffy white towels and complimentary toiletries. Bathrobes and slippers are available on request as well as various other items easily forgotten. We pride ourselves with our cleanliness and attention to detail

Each room has an LCD Flat Screen TV with remote control and Freeview facility for digital channels, teacoffee making facilities, hairdryer and radio alarm clock. We have wireless internet access throughout the building if you have a wireless enabled laptop with you or you can use our guest laptop which is available on request.

Directions:
From Fort William and A82Take the A82 and remain on this road following the signs to Inverness. You will pass through Fort Augustus and Drumnadrochit. Continue with Loch Ness on your right and you will shortly reach the outskirts of Inverness. You will go over a bridge crossing the Caledonian Canal then you will see a sports centre on your right. We are approximately a quarter of a mile further along on the right hand side opposite the Cemetery.From Inverness Airport and A96When you leave the Airport follow the signs for A96 Aberdeen and Inverness. When you reach the A96 take the 3rd right at the roundabout and follow the sign for Inverness. Continue along the A96 passing Tesco Supermarket on your left. When you reach Raigmore roundabout take the 3rd exit then merge onto the A9 (signposted Fort William Ullapool Wick). At Longman Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Fort William Inverness). Entering Inverness at Harbour Road Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Fort William Town Centre). At Rose Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Dingwall Ullapool). At Shore Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A82 (signposted Beauly Dingwall Fort William). Cross Friars Bridge at Telford Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Kenneth Street - A82 (signposted Fort William). At traffic signals turn right onto the A82 (signposted Fort William) and you will pass the Highland Council building on your left. Travel about a quarter of a mile further along Glenurquhart Road and we are on the left hand side opposite the Cemetery. From Aviemore and A9Leave Aviemore and follow the A9 signposted to Inverness. At Longman Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Fort William Inverness). Entering Inverness at Harbour Road Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Fort William Town Centre). At Rose Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Dingwall Ullapool). At Shore Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A82 (signposted Beauly Dingwall Fort William). Cross Friars Bridge at Telford Street Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Kenneth Street - A82 (signposted Fort William). Turn right onto the pedestrianised High Street and follow this until you reach River Ness. Cross over Ness Bridge and follow the road. Keep going straight on and the road becomes Young Street then Tomnahurich Street then Glenurquhart Road. We are on the left about half a mile on opposite the cemetary.
